The EduArc AI is designed to understand educational content and help you refine materials efficiently. After EduArc automatically generates your content, use the chat to make it exactly what you need.

How the AI Works

When you chat with EduArc, you’re talking to an AI assistant that:
  • Understands your uploaded content and can reference it
  • Knows educational structures like lesson plans, assessments, and study materials
  • Can modify and enhance your generated content in real-time
  • Has access to tools like our question database and chemistry renderer

Writing Good Prompts

Be Specific About What You Want

“Add key definitions in boxes, three worked examples, and five practice problems to Chapter 3.”

Include Context When Helpful

“This is for GCSE students who are just learning quadratic equations. Keep explanations simple and include visual diagrams.”

Ask for Changes Directly

“Move the summary to the beginning of the page and add bullet points.”

Common Prompt Patterns

Adding Content

Add [what] about [topic] with [specific elements].
Examples:
  • “Add a quiz about photosynthesis with 10 multiple choice questions.”
  • “Add an introduction page that explains what students will learn in this course.”

Modifying Content

[Action] the [element] to [change].
Examples:
  • “Expand the explanation of derivatives to include more examples.”
  • “Shorten the introduction to just two paragraphs.”
  • “Change the heading from ‘Chapter 1’ to ‘Getting Started with Python’.”

Adding Features

Add [feature] to [location].
Examples:
  • “Add flashcards for all the key terms in this section.”
  • “Add a hint system to the practice problems.”
  • “Add a table comparing mitosis and meiosis.”

Reorganizing

Move [element] [direction/location].
Examples:
  • “Move the examples before the theory explanation.”
  • “Put all the practice problems at the end of each chapter.”

Using Special Features

Question Database

Ask the AI to find exam questions:
Find 5 IGCSE physics questions about Newton's laws of motion.
Add A-Level integration problems with worked solutions.
The AI has access to 22,000+ questions from IGCSE, A-Level, STEP, and math competitions. See the Questions Database guide for details.

Chemistry Diagrams

Request molecular structures:
Add a diagram of the caffeine molecule.
Show the structure of glucose and fructose side by side.

Interactive Elements

For course websites, you can add:
Add an interactive quiz that gives immediate feedback.
Add a calculator tool for practicing unit conversions.

Tips for Better Results

One thing at a time

Make one request per message. This gives clearer results than combining multiple changes.

Review as you go

Check the preview after each change. It’s easier to course-correct early.

Be patient with math

Mathematical content takes a bit longer to render. Wait for the preview to update.

Iterate freely

Don’t worry about getting it perfect first try. The AI is designed for back-and-forth refinement.

What the AI Can’t Do

To set expectations:
  • No internet access: The AI can only work with your uploaded content and its built-in knowledge
  • No real-time data: It can’t fetch current news, prices, or live information
  • Limited image generation: It can include existing images and diagrams but can’t create new illustrations

Example Conversation

After uploading your lecture notes and selecting the Course Website template, EduArc generates your site automatically. Here’s how you might refine it:
1

Review the generated content

EduArc has created a site with chapters based on your notes. Browse the preview to see what needs improvement.
2

You

“Add the molecular structure of benzene to the aromatic compounds section.”
3

AI adds chemistry diagram

AI renders and inserts the benzene structure
4

You

“Find 3 A-Level questions about benzene reactions and add them as practice problems.”
5

AI searches question bank

AI finds and adds relevant exam questions
6

You

“Add a quiz at the end of each chapter to test understanding.”
